Team 144 appointed as Skills Provider for Adviza and Buckinghamshire Skills Brokerage

Team 144 is delighted to announce a partnership with Adviza and the Buckinghamshire Skills Brokerage to support the local small business community.

Buckinghamshire Skills Brokerage is a new programme developed to upskill employees within small and medium-sized businesses in Buckinghamshire.  The programme is delivered by Adviza in partnership with Buckinghamshire Business First and co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Skills Funding Agency (SFA).

The service supports SMEs to access training and workforce development activities by identifying skills gaps and training needs and then brokering training provision to meet these needs.

A recent survey found that just 39% of Buckinghamshire businesses have their own training plan, the 2nd lowest rate in the country.

Small businesses often struggle to allocate time or funds to learning and development activities.

This scheme helps Bucks businesses with guidance on where they may require support (via the Virtual Adviser tool), with help on connecting with suitable providers and with funding to support undertaking the desired training.

The scheme for Buckinghamshire based SME businesses includes vouchers of £150 to contribute towards the cost of workplace training. Having been announced as an approved skills provider, Team 144 can now offer their expertise to local SME businesses through this scheme.
